Hawkes pauses, watching Rusty with an almost academic interest.
HAWKES
This could be considered an act of insubordination.
RUSTY
(with sly humor)
Only if you make it a direct order. (slight grin) Why don’t you save us both a lot of trouble and not make it one?
Hawkes stares evenly at Rusty.
After a moment, Hawkes taps the intercom control.
HAWKES
Bridge to Security.

Have a security team report to the main shuttle airlock.
Rusty begins to look a little more uncertain and even mildly angry.

Establishing shot of the bridge.
Devereux is seated at her station on the command deck. Hawkes is at the Tactical station. Pyrafox is at the helm station; he does not look very busy.
Devereux stops and rubs at her eyes tiredly. She stretches and we can almost her joints crack. She takes a deep breath and sighs.
After rubbing her eyes again, Devereux rises from her chair.
DEVEREUX
I’m going for a walk. (to Hawkes) Lieutenant, you have the bridge.
HAWKES
(smartly)
Yes, Captain.
Stretching her shoulders slowly, Devereux exits.

4. INT. CORRIDOR
Devereux pauses outside the Bridge hatchway.
