INT. RAYNES WORKSHOP - DAY
Scott opens the door, leading Devereux, Rusty, Elizabeth, Hope, and Thad into the workshop. Thad, Scott, and Elizabeth are carrying the crates of Rusty's equipment.
Rusty stops on the steps and looks around with amused wonder.
Scott and Thad exchange looks.
Devereux looks toward Scott with a slightly embarrassed expression. Scott catches her eye, manages a smile. Devereux smiles back and they look back toward the workshop.
Rusty turns, looking at Thad blankly for a moment, and then notices the strained expressions on his and the others' faces.
Rusty points to an empty space toward one corner of the workshop. He then turns to attention to the prototype drive, walking a wide circle around it, whistling quietly.
Rusty grins at her. Elizabeth shakes her head in bemused frustration.
Rusty moves in closer, peering inside various areas of the chassis. He speaks, but seems to be talking as much to himself as the others.
Rusty stands up and looks over at Elizabeth.
Rusty addresses Devereux, Thad, and Scott.
There is a pause while Rusty realizes what he had said and who he is talking to.
Rusty gives him a blank look and then a broad smile.
Rusty kneels down next to one of the open panels.
Elizabeth opens the specified case and removes a piece of equipment. Rusty looks up at everyone else.
Thad grins. Devereux looks mildly uncomfortable. Elizabeth laughs and brings the tool to Rusty.

Wow. The museum looks like nothing like this . . .

Glad I brought my own tools along . . .

Speaking of which . . .

Smaller than I expected.
ELIZABETH
(slightly indignant)
I sent you the specs, Chief.

Looks like the compensator isn't wired in quite right. Close though. (beat) Energy exchange buffers look mostly okay, but probably need calibrated.

I can see why you were having trouble with it, Lizzie.

There's just a lot of little things wrong--like the flow controls not set for logarithmic expansion--not one big thing. Your basic design is sound.

(laughs)
I guess it has to be. (grins) It worked, didn't it?
SCOTT
(seriously)
Not yet.

You all just going to stand around and watch the master at work? Or actually lend a hand?
