INT. ENGINEERING DECK
Establishing shot of Engineering Deck.
There is general chaos. There is the sound of various klaxons and the shouts of crewmembers.
Camera closes on a small knot of crewmembers. Closer shot on face of RUSTY calling out orders.
He looks for ELIZABETH in the crowd, finds her.
Elizabeth grabs a tool case and heads out of sight.
Medium shot of Rusty looking through the small crowd for the next technician.
INT. CORRIDOR
Elizabeth moves quickly, not quite running, down the corridor. She passes a few other crewmembers in an equal hurry to get where they need to be.
She slows, checking the small signs until she reaches an access door. She stops, placing the tool case down on the deck, leaning against the bulkhead. She unfastens the hatch, pulls it free, and places it flat on the deck. She picks up the tool case and climbs inside the access passage.
INT. ENGINEERING ACCESS
Narrow shot from inside showing Elizabeth climbing inside. It is a tight fit, but not so snug that she cannot turn around.
She inches her way inside, stopping before a discolored section of conduits. She places the tool case on the deck and opens it, withdrawing a monitoring instrument. She attaches it near the discolored section and activates it.
Several indicators on the device show that it is operating far below expected levels.
Elizabeth frowns, looking over the damaged section. She removes her communications unit.
Elizabeth waits. After a few moments, the lights dim along that section of the bulkhead.
Elizabeth begins working, removing the discolored conduits, exposing cables and circuits.

ELIZABETH
I found an overload in junction twenty-four Baker. Can you shut down or re-route these lines?
TECHNICIAN'S COMM VOICE
Twenty-four Baker?
ELIZABETH
(double-checks)
Yeah. Better bypass all the lines in the lower section.
TECHNICIAN'S COMM VOICE
Confirmed. Stand by.

Looks good. I'll let you know when I'm done.

(cheery)
Have fun, Lieutenant.

(laughs quietly)
Right.
