INT. BRIDGE
Devereux is walking the lower deck of the bridge, checking the status at various stations. She stops at the Tactical station.
Hawkes glances down at the displays at his station. His eyes move only; he does not lower his head. He is an older officer, clearly a veteran.
Devereux turns away, her back to Hawkes, and looks at the screen again.
Camera on Pyrafox. He is still working busily at the controls at his station.
Devereux nods, clearly not satisfied with the report, but knowing better than to push.
He returns his attention to his console.
INT. CORRIDOR
Hope is moving down the corridor. She walks quickly and with purpose. She is carrying a small white medical case.
Portions of the corridors are darkened where power has evidently failed. A few of the crewmembers she passed cast quick glances her way, but they provide no other acknowledgment of her presence.
The camera follows her as she rounds a corner. A few meters ahead is a destroyed section of bulkhead. Two crewmembers are there, one kneeling before the other one who is sitting with her back against the bulkhead. She holds one of her arms in obvious pain.
Hope walks to them and stops. The kneeling crewmember looks up at Hope and rises, backing away. Hope crouches to examine the injured crewmember, placing the case flat on the deck.
Close shot as Hope takes the crewmember's hand in hers. She begins running her fingers along the back of the hand and upward along the crewmember's forearm.
Reaction shot as the injured crewmember winces, her eyes alternating between Hope's hand and face.
Reaction shot over Hope's shoulder as the crewmember nods wordlessly.
Closeup as Hope positions her hand at a point on the crewmember's upper arm.
Closeup on Hope as her expression changes, becoming serenely empty. Her eyes close.
Closeup on the crewman's injured arm as a faint glowing halo emanates from Hope's hand, spreading out along the length of the arm.
Reaction shot of the crewmember's face. It relaxes as the pain lifts and then the eyes widen.
POV shot over Hope's shoulder. Her hand now rests against the crewmember's shoulder, where she had positioned it back into place.
The crewmember swallows, still startled.
Hope releases her hold and reaches for the medical case. She withdraws an injector.
She then removes a ampoule from a another location inside the case and snaps it into place.
She looks into the eyes of the injured crewmember.
The crewmember nods, her head barely moving.
Hope injects several places along the arm. She pauses, watching the crewmember's expression before replacing the injector in the case.
She then removes a small folded piece of shiny fabric. It quickly unrolls into a long, narrow tube. Hope slides it over the crewmember's injured arm, placing it carefully. She then touches it lightly and it shrinks to snugly fit over the crewmember's arm.
Hope closes the medical case and stands.
The sitting crewmember exchanges glances with the one who remained standing throughout the entire incident. She then stares at Hope before getting to her feet.
With the other crewmember by her side, she heads down the corridor out of scene.
Hope remains, watching them depart. Close on her expression . . . or lack of.
